Manic Depressive, how to cope with bipolar disorder?

We treat your manic-depressive psychosis differently from ordinary mood swings. Our counselling or psychotherapy is then only an additional help: in addition to medication and counselling by family, GP and psychiatrist.

Rather than looking for causes, we mainly offer support and helpful advice. Goals here are: medication adherence, bridging depressive moments, keeping yourself in control.

Children of parents with bipolar disorder

Your daughter or son may also need help if you or your partner suffers from bipolar disorder. Especially young children and adolescents are very sensitive to their parents' moods. Even if you try to hide it. You are less available, often unpredictable and sometimes you cause them anxiety and uncertainty. Help from a child therapist is therefore sometimes necessary.

In doing so, we can provide your child with information, shelter and help to understand and learn to predict your behaviour. It can be a great relief for your child to speak to a third party. Together, we try to keep your child's development on track.
